The Author - williams vukdivanov

In case you hadn't already realised, William Vukdivanov is a pen-name — its origin involving a Scottish football radio commentator caught live on air, unable to identify a goalscorer, who improvised a name on the spot rather than admit defeat. So if you're ever asked the true identity of the author of Surviving The Cubicle, you can say with complete honesty: William Vukdivanov.

Born in the late 1950s, William began working life in 1976 in a city centre insurance company office, and remained in similar environments until retiring at the end of 2025. He now lives in a seaside town with his wife and two cats, with a lifelong ambition to add a dog to the family finally on the cards this year.

He has previous publishing credits for books relating to football and music — the latter selling over 25,000 copies across three languages — but this project has been the most enjoyable of all, since humour has been a constant companion throughout his life.

We currently live in the most turbulent period since the end of the last world war. Our troubled times began with the COVID pandemic, followed by conflict in Europe and the Middle East, each with global repercussions. Seldom before has there been a greater need for our lives to be enriched.

So if Surviving The Cubicle introduces a few more chuckles into your daily routine, the effort will have been worthwhile.
